Our Objectives are:

   Waste

• To eliminate excessive waste and to reduce the overall amount of waste produced by the school.

   Biodiversity

• To improve the biodiversity of the school grounds by encouraging more birds and other animals to come to our garden.

   Energy

•     To use energy more efficently and to cut down on wasteful use of energy.

  Water

• To eliminate wasteful use of water and to make use of recycled water.

Eco Code

We have created our own Eco Code which tells you about the things we are trying to achieve.  It is attached below and you will see that we worked very hard to make it look as good as we could.  We are very grateful to Esther Siroky who came into school for 2 afternoons to help us with this.  Our Eco Code says:

Keep lots of different birds coming by giving them food,

Look after our trees to keep birds and animals in a good mood,

We switch off the light when the sun is out,

When no-one is in and going about,

We turn off computers at the end of the day,

This is the way we can save each day,

Recycle everything we can; food, rainwater and paper,

For it to become compost or a drink for the plants later,

Follow this code at a good pace,

To make our world a better place.
